RULES

Rules of the Course

  1. All players must sign in at the clubhouse before play, and must have pre-paid, either in advance via online booking, or in person at check-in.
  2. Players with a booked starting time have priority.
  3. All players must abide by the Rules of Golf and observe golf etiquette at all times.
  4. Slower players MUST let faster players through.
  5. All players must have a bad of clubs each.
  6. Smart-casual dress is required. Torn and dirty clothing is not acceptable. Shirts must be worn. The wearing of ties is strictly forbidden, both on the course and in the clubhouse.
  7. At busy times the professional staff reserve the right to join up one and two ball matches.
  8. All players and spectators are legally responsible for their own safety and for any damage they cause to other people and/or their property, including vehicles left in the car park.
  9. Players are advised that they should be insured against any damage or injury that could be incurred from an errant golf shot hit by them or for any negligent action by them whilst at Basildon Golf Course and / or playing the golf course.
  10. Green fees will not be refunded.
  11. Golfers MUST give way to members of the public crossing the course on and close to the footpaths.

Local Rules

  • Out of Bounds – left of the first hole and beyond any hedge or ditch bounding the course.
  • Free Drop – (one club-length from the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole) from all pop up sprinklers, paths, immovable obstructions, plugged ball through the green, drainage channels and any area affected by greenkeeping work.
  • For those playing in formal competitions and matches, please ensure you have checked the rules of the course on the club noticeboard.
